Wheatbelt Agcare

Wheatbelt Agcare Community Support Service offers a qualified, confidential and mobile counselling service for families
and individuals in the central Wheatbelt. The service is free of charge and encompasses the Shires of Bruce Rock, Dowerin, Kellerberrin, Koorda, Merredin, Mount Marshall, Mukinbudin, Narembeen, Nungarin, Tammin, Trayning and Westonia.

Natural Resource Management - Landcare

The Shire of Nungarin employs a Natural Resource Management (NRM) Facilitator who is available for free information and support every Thursday in the NRM Office/Nungarin War Memorial Building next to the Shire Offices.

The NRM Facilitator provides assistance with sourcing NRM related project funding, promotes local NRM opportunities and helps with information and advice on looking after Nungarin's natural resources.

Caring for our Country Project 2009 – 2013

 Introducing What Perennial Where? The very first publication to come out of the Caring For Our Country Wind Erosion Project!

 This ‘ute friendly’ guide aims to assist landholders to determine the most suitable perennial species for a specific area on a property by linking soil types to landscape position and rainfall.

Nungarin Community Resource Centre

The Resource Centre currently acts as the Community Postal Agency also offering photocopying, laminating, binding,
scanning and printing services. Thanks to special funding and support from the Department of Regional Development
and Lands and Royalties for Regions it is also able to offer free internet access to State and Local Government
information. Other services available include video conferencing facilities and email access. Our aim is to offer the
community a wider range of services and a larger variety of both computer, educational and vocational programs and
hands on workshops. "Kids Klub"  is a Community Resource Centre initiative aimed at keeping young hands and minds
busy while fostering pride in achievement and developing interactive social skills.
